Glueboards can be a reliable tool in a Mouse control program, and in many cases are the preferred method of monitoring rather than traps.
Not only Mice are successfully caught with "PestCatchers" - Cockroaches and other crawling insects can also be captured by them.

"PestCatchers" should be placed in high Mouse traffic areas; such areas may be evident from fresh droppings, rub marks, burrows, urine stains or from the use of tracking powders.
The major Mouse pathways are usually along floor and wall junctures, and "PestCatchers" should be placed flush to the wall and directly on the path. In a warehouse, where pallets may cause the Mice to take meandering paths, ways should be found to funnel them to the glueboards.
Pallets should be moved at least 6 inches from the walls, this will encourage the Mice to travel between the pallets and the wall; once the path is being used the "PestCatchers" can be placed there.
It is not always necessary to tack or tape the boards to the floor. Mice are not strong enough to move them. However, in specialsituations it will be necessary to secure the board, for instance, when overhead pipes or ledges are used as runways 2-sided carpet tape can be used to keep the boards in place. When the "PestCatchers" are used near any source of flame, such as a gas heater, they should be secured - conceivably a large rodent could drag the board close to a flame causing it to ignite.
Factors limiting "PestCatcher" use include dust and temperature extremes. Dusty conditions will result in a coating that makes the board "unsticky", in such conditions the boards should be protected. Very low temperatures will cause the glue to harden, whilst high temperatures could cause the glue to run. Direct sunlight could cause the glue to dry out. For these reasons the use of "PestCatchers" for outside rodent control can be extremely tricky.
The "PestCatchers" must be checked regularly and replaced as necessary, usually the board is thrown away if even one Mouse is on it because the Rodent cannot be peeled completely from the board, although the captured Rodents do not repel others.
When "PestCatchers" are used in human traffic areas, such as stores and offices, they should be kept under cover to avoid complaints about struggling Mice and to avoid tampering with the boards.
"PestCatchers" are also used for monitoring insect activity, and generally folded tent-fashion for this purpose.
Dead Rodents must be handled with care, pick them up safely with a "PickerUpper" General Purpose Picker.
